{"id":52,"date":"2011-11-29T10:20:31","date_gmt":"2011-11-29T08:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agnowgeneration.wordpress.com\/?p=52"},"modified":"2017-11-02T07:25:22","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T07:25:22","slug":"keeping-the-main-thing-the-main-thing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arielgate.com\/html\/archives\/52","title":{"rendered":"Keeping the Main Thing, the Main Thing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I said in my last blog, we are in a new season. It is a time of taking territory, new assignments and also of new levels of warfare. You have all heard it said that when you reach new levels, expect new devils. Such a cliche, but unfortunately so true! In this new season, I am experiencing a new level of warfare and it is not that I mind the warfare so much as I am not sure how to fight what is coming against me. I find that really frustrating because you cannot make a plan or come up with a strategy of how to fight.<\/p>\n<p>But as I was bemoaning my situation before the Lord this week &#8211; I felt Him gently rebuke me. I was allowing the enemy to have too much of my attention. I had started to focus on what the enemy was doing and not looking at what Jesus is doing. I got caught up in trying to determine what was happening, why was it happening and what prayers should I pray to deal with it. Jesus reminded me that if I would keep Him as my main focus, He would show me all I needed to know.<\/p>\n<p><em>All I needed to know<\/em> being the operative words. So often God&#8217;s idea of what I need to know and my idea are 2 VASTLY different things. I usually want information so I can understand things, but God wants us to trust Him. He is more interested in us growing in our love and trust of Him that in our understanding everything. This is a tough one &#8211; it is much easier to trust when we understand the reason behind a thing.But God wants us to trust Him just because of who He is. He wants us to develop a deep, love relationship with Him that trusts Him <strong>in<\/strong> everything without needing to <strong>know<\/strong> everything. Our relationship with Jesus is the starting and ending point of all we will ever do and be in the Kingdom of Heaven. He is the MAIN THING! Our job is just to keep the MAIN THING, the MAIN THING!<\/p>\n<p>(Hey Everyone&#8230; This post should have been published before I left for USA, but somehow it fell through the cracks- Sorry!)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I said in my last blog, we are in a new season.
