Psalm 2<\/strong><\/p>\n Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? <\/em><\/strong>(verse 1)<\/p>\n The word \u201crage\u201d<\/em> is H7283 \u2018ragash\u2019<\/em> meaning tumult (unrest, mayhem, noise, chaos), rage,\u00a0<\/span>commotion, conspire, plot. \u00a0<\/p>\n Imagine a vain thing \u2013 the word \u2018imagine\u2019<\/em> has to do with meditating, speaking, thinking, planning, plotting, calculating \u2013 working out plans that will not bear righteous fruit.<\/p>\n <\/em><\/p>\n Father, we have transgressed against You in our generations and in our communities, and I come to take responsibility for our rebellion against You.\u00a0 <\/span>We have plotted and planned against Your kingdom, not wanting to do Your will, wanted our own desires.\u00a0 <\/span>We have sought to overthrow Your principles and have produced chaos, unrest, mayhem on the earth.\u00a0 <\/span>Our communities, our families reflect our wickedness and the rebellion against You.\u00a0<\/span>God we have sinned against You and I come to repent.<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the\u00a0Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. <\/em><\/strong>(verse 2 & 3)<\/p>\n The word \u201cset\u201d<\/em> is about positioning or taking a stand on an issue or standing with someone, being aligned.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Counsel is the word \u2018yacad\u2019<\/em> H3245 which is about laying a foundation, setting something in place, an establishing;<\/p>\n Oh God, what can we say to You, help us to repent Holy Spirit \u2013 cause a true repentance to become an aroma before God, may our hearts become broken for our transgressions, for we and our generations have sinned against You, Father.\u00a0 <\/span>We have sat with Your enemy and plotted against Your purposes.\u00a0 <\/span>We have positioned ourselves in covenants of idolatry and witchcraft and desired to overthrow Your purposes and Your laws.\u00a0<\/span>We have attempted to lay a different foundation and established a rebellious kingdom on the earth and we repent for having done this willingly and unwillingly.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the\u00a0Lord\u00a0shall have them in derision.\u00a0 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 (verse 4-6)<\/span><\/p>\n Father, You are the One and only True God and everything that was made, was made for Your glory. \u00a0<\/em>For You created all things in heaven, in earth, visible and invisible for Your glory and Your righteous and just in all Your dealings with mankind. (Colossians 1:16)\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n We are guilty God and You laugh at us in our endeavours to overthrow Your principles and kingdom.\u00a0 <\/span>Please Father, forgive us our wickedness against You.\u00a0 <\/span>Every decision I have made to destablish Your King upon Zion, I repent.\u00a0<\/span>Every decision my family generationally has made against Your Son and Zion, I repent.\u00a0 <\/span>Every decision my community has made to destablish Your King upon Zion, I repent Father \u2013 please forgive us, wash us, cleanse us.\u00a0 <\/span>Establish me in Your way in Zion and may Jesus Christ reign in me, in my generations and in the community represented.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/em><\/p>\n I will declare the decree: the\u00a0Lord\u00a0hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.\u00a0 \u00a0Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.<\/strong> <\/em>(verse 7 & 8)<\/p>\n Jesus, The Father has given the nations for Your inheritance \u2013 have mercy on us today, Lord Jesus \u2013 cleanse us, redeem us by the power of Your Blood.\u00a0 <\/span>Change us, transform please Lord, that we can become part of Your inheritance.\u00a0<\/span>We are not looking for our own inheritance, we are not seeking our own desires, Lord make us part of Your inheritance and Your possession.\u00a0 <\/span>Have mercy on us, Oh Lord!<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.\u00a0 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.\u00a0 Serve the\u00a0Lord\u00a0with fear, and rejoice with trembling.\u00a0 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.<\/strong><\/em> (verse 9 – 12)<\/p>\n Father, You would be righteous in Your judgments and we would be shattered through Your judgments.\u00a0 Proverbs 1:7 says \u2018the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction\u2019<\/strong>.\u00a0 Father, I repent for being foolish and wicked and thinking I am wise.\u00a0My wisdom has misled generations and communities into wickedness and rebellion and I repent for I have blood on my hands.\u00a0 My transgressions have led others into transgression against You Father, against Your Son and against Your Holy Spirit and I repent and acknowledge my guilt today against You.\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Please Lord Jesus, forgive and cleanse me. \u00a0\u00a0I come to kiss Your Son, I come to bow my knees and come to serve You.\u00a0 Please redeem and transform us, redeem the generations and communities represented and be glorified in us, Father.\u00a0 May You redeem and transform us to become part of Your inheritance and Your possession for Your glory through the finished work of Your Son through the Cross of Calvary and mercy of the Blood of the Lamb.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Father have mercy on us by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit according to Your word in Titus 3:5.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n I trust You Oh my God and I am grateful\u00a0 for Your lovingkindness and mercy in Jesus Name.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Psalm 2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
