This book is for men primarily but it has a lot of truth for the body of Christ. For example there is a place of self examination – am I like an Elimelech or a Boaz. Elimelech people make plans to get out when the tough times come. Boaz people centre their gaze on God and go through the tough times with God. There was a reason for the famine in the land – Elimelech hearts are not interested in what God is trying to say or do, they trust their own plans and these plans could lead to death. Boaz hearts are one of honor and integrity which leads to generations being blessed. This book deals with heart issues and setting ourselves up for failure or victory. Remember David came through the bloodline of Ruth and Boaz.
