REPENTANCE GUIDELINES FOR DAY 35:
We are using the book by Sandie Freed – Conquering The Antichrist Spirit* as a guideline and for informational purposes.
Read: Exodus 15:22-27 – Wilderness of Shur
“After their exodus from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea, the first wilderness Moses and Israel encountered was this of Shur. Shur translates ‘wall’. Israel found themselves thirsty, disillusioned and discontent as they were led to the waters of Marah (bitter). Israel lapsed into her signature response, she murmured against Moses.”* (page 153)
Let us repent for:
- Our murmuring and complaining against God
- Thirsting but not turning to God, looking for something else to satisfy ourselves with
- Allowing our disappointments to govern how we view God and respond to Him.
- Not trusting God – not being faithful to Him who is faithful and whose character is one of faithfulness.
Ask God for healing and to be able to walk through all the wilderness of Shur in our lives – to come out the other side, knowing God more intimately than before and loving Him more than before. Ask God to transform and conform us back into His image and may the sound in us change to be a pleasing sound before Him as we go through our deserts.
