The Table of Showbread foreshadows Communion. As priests of the royal priesthood we need to understand what we are doing from the historical perspective of this piece of Tabernacle furniture to today’s application.
Part of the pattern given by God was this strange piece of furniture were only priests gathered to eat, each one of the twelve breads represented the twelve tribes.
Psalms 23v5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…”
You have an audience of the demonic world watching you taking Communion. Communion to them is PRESSING the REPLAY button on the video of their defeat on the cross of calvary. We traumatise the enemy, each time we share from this table.
We literally preach to the angelic realm when we have communion – we preach the defeat of all the principalities and powers. Communion is one of the most powerful things that we as christians can do!!
