Why Assemble?

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” Hebrews 10:25
People can be gathered together for a meeting but not assembled for the meeting, there is a difference. God calls for an assembly which means the meeting can now become weaponised.
We need to move away from being a “trained”/“professional” church, as the assembling of ourselves should not be about getting what we want, but giving God what He wanted when He called us for the meeting. She asks the following questions:
- Who is calling the assembly? God or People?
- What are we worshipping in the process?
- Where is the fruit?
She uses the example of the France Huguenots in history, they assembled by only following the Holy Spirit.
It is possible to have a legal assembly (ekklesia) and a illegal assembly (Act 19:39)
She asks if we are really ready for God to do what HE wants?
Because, it is going to inconvenience you!
